Hey folks,

Well, bad news first I guess..

Unfortunately, due to financial concerns, this year's GenConOz convention in Brisbane has been cancelled. We were looking forward to putting on the Rock Band stage there and I'm sure you were all looking forward to attending, but sometimes these things do happen.

Let's just make sure we all give them our support and pre-register for the 2011 event to ensure it goes ahead.

The good news for the week is a 3 pack of tracks by Avenged Sevenfold for all you hardcore rockers out there, including classic track "Scream" and new cut "Nightmare" from their just-released album. Get your kick pedal foot ready, as Mike Portnoy from Dream Theatre is sitting in the drum throne as a replacement for A7x drummer, The Rev, who sadly passed away last year.

Well, halfway to Christmas and the year is flying by!

In case you didn't hear the news from E3, Rock Band 3 has now been announced, with a new instrument making it's rock debut... the keytar!!

We also have some exciting news for classic rock fans, next week were are adding 12 tracks by Creedence Clearwater Revival to our song linup. We can't wait to have a go at Fortunate Son, Proud Mary, Heard it Through the Grapevine and a load of others!

First of all, Green Day: Rock Band has been released in Australia. We've nabbed it and added it to our setlist, so now you have 47 more Green Day tracks to choose from next time you see us.

Secondly, E3 has just finished and wait for it.... Rock Band 3 has been announced! Now with a new instrument addition - keyboards! We can't wait to see some funky keyboard solos from you guys. They are also adding a "Pro Mode" to teach all us plastic rockers how to play a real instrument.

Being released alongside RB3 is a guitar controller that has strings, and can also be used as a real guitar with an amp(we know this, because it is actually a real guitar, with extra electronics inside!). I don't know about you, but us Rock Stars folks are excited about learning to play a real instrument through a video game!! You can expect to see both the new keyboard and the new Fender Squier guitar at our gigs once they're released.

Our final bit of awesome - GenCon Oz... It's on at the Southbank Convention Centre, Brisbane in September this year and we're currently in negotiations to put on another fantastic Rock Band stage experience for you. We'll let you know once everything is confirmed, but expect to see us there with more fantastic prizes to give away!!
